Vigils remember two victims of gun violence in Montgomery County

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Two vigils were held on Saturday to remember two men killed in acts of gun violence.

Family and community members gathered in the lot of PC’s Lounge in 2300 block of N. Gettysburg Ave. for Milton Davis-Thompkins, 28.

Davis-Thompkins was killed on November 18 at the bar after being shot.

Another person was also shot at the same site.

In Trotwood, another vigil was held for Jason Alford, 30, who was found shot to death inside his home.

Alford’s sister found him hours after being shot back on November 19.

Alford’s case remains unsolved as Trotwood police are looking for a shooter.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP. All tips are anonymous.
