BUFFALO, NY. (WGRZ)- Strong instincts by good Samaritans and compassionate police work helped rescue a young boy in Buffalo, New York earlier this month.
Taijuan Littleton, who has worked for Rent-A-Center for 15 years, was the first person to notice a problem at the boy’s home. He communicated frequently with Bryan’s mother about orders and payments, but she did not return his calls for a few days. Finally, on December 4th, Littleton called for the third day in a row.
4-year-old Bryan answered.
“Instinct kicked in,” Littleton said, “that something may be wrong.”
Bryan told Littleton that he could not wake up his mother. Littleton immediately gave the phone to his co-worker, who stayed on the line with Bryan, and he then rushed to the home, where he found the boy’s mother deceased. Littleton wrapped Bryan in a blanket, took him to his truck and then waited for the police to arrive after calling 911.
