Dayton man acted in self-defense during summer shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has learned that Mark Brooks who was arrested on felonious assault charges from a shooting over the summer has been found not guilty by reason of self-defense according to Judge Krumhotz.

The altercation between Chaunsee Foster and Mark Brooks happened on August 2nd at the McDonald’s at 410 South Main street in downtown Dayton.

Foster told police he was in the restaurant when Brooks came inside. The two argued and Foster says they went outside.
