Ohio job numbers creep up in November

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services released the November Ohio unemployment numbers for November Friday.

The tweets began at 8:00 Friday morning.

The reported number of 4.5 percent is up slightly from October’s rate of 4.4 percent, which was down from Septembers 4.5 percent.

ODJFS released the full report at 8:30 Friday morning. It says unemployment in Ohio up 6,000 from 249,000 in October. That number has been down by 41,000 in the past 12 months.

The October report detailed the number of workers unemployed in Ohio in October was 249,000, down 5,000 from 254,000 in September. The number of unemployed had decreased at that point by 51,000 in the previous 12 months from 300,000. The October unemployment rate for Ohio was down from 5.2 percent in October 2014.
