TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Miami County Sheriff’s Office said Friday they have one person in custody and are looking for another in an October case of break-ins and theft from several homes.
The Sheriff’s Office credits tips from residents with helping detectives solve several break-ins and thefts that occurred in October in which ATV’s and other items were stolen from homes along Frederick Road.
WDTN.com told you in October about a man caught on a security camera where a robbery had occurred. A homeowner had returned to find the lock on his shed was cut. The homeowner checked his trail camera and found images of a man in the yard.
Detectives were able to identify the suspects with help from the residents and the photos. 24-year-old Kyle Plantz of Troy was charged with three counts of breaking and entering and three counts of theft. Plantz in now in the Miami County Jail.
Another man was also charged in the case. 21-year-old Johnathan Nohacs of Vandalia was also charged with three counts each of breaking and entering and theft. According to the Sheriff, Nohacs has active felony warrants and is still at large.
