Shelby County Sheriff’s give back thanks to donor

SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Shelby County Sherrif’s Office is handing out envelopes of cash instead of tickets due to an anonymous donor.

The Sheriff’s Office writes on their Facebook page, “A gentleman came into their office and handed the shift supervisor five envelopes with $20.00 in each of them. He wanted to remain anonymous and wanted the cards handed out to citizens in Shelby County.”

The post also says, “It was decided that we would go out and make five traffic stops and instead of handing out traffic tickets we would pass on the cards.”

The video below is of one of those stops.
