Two arrests in OVI checkpoint, saturation patrols

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Police Department released the results of an OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols Sunday.

The Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County was setup in the area of East Fifth and Keowee Streets.

Between 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday, 397 vehicles drove through the checkpoint. One person was tested for OVI, but no OVI arrests were made. Six people were cited for driving without a license.

As a result of saturation patrols in the same area, two people were arrested for OVI. Officers made 29 traffic stops. Other citations include: one for driving without a license, one for driving with a suspended license and one seat belt violation.
