WASHINGTON (WDTN) – Thousands of cases of chocolates are being pulled from Walmart shelves.

Chocolate 2Mars Chocolate North America is voluntarily recalling 6,700 cases of its Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes because of mislabeling.

The recall is being issued because items may contain some other candies, including pieces of Snickers, Milky Way and Twix, which all contain peanut, wheat, or egg and are not listed on the package. The company is concerned about consumers with allergies to these products.

The Dove Chocolate Snowflakes are sold only at Walmart stores in 25 states, including Ohio, in 24-oz bags. The bags appeared on store shelves starting September 19.

You can identify these recalled items by checking the item number and lot codes which are:

  • Item# 10139802 – UPC# 400050521
