Defense wants Pilkington trial moved

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – Prosecutors say 23-year-old Brittany Pilkington suffocated her three young sons over a 13-month span.

Her defense lawyer has filed nearly 50 motions in the case. The defense attorney hopes to have his client’s trial moved from Logan County.

He says media coverage would prevent Pilkington from a fair trial.

Logan County Prosecutor Bill Goslee says moving the trial is absurd and would not get the case away from publicity.  Pilkington’s trial is set to begin March 7th.

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty.
