MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – The City of Miamisburg said Tuesday it will improve the water main and storage tank on Richard Street with funding from a low-interest loan from Ohio EPA.

The project includes rehabilitation of the above-ground Richard Street storage tank and replacement of old water mains in that part of the city. The construction will take place over the next 12 to 15 months. The City says when the project is complete  it will help address issues associated with pressure problems and boil alerts.

Miamisburg is borrowing $5.4 million and they say the low-interest loan will save the city more than $800,000 compared to a conventional, market-rate loan. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
