Recycling truck goes into pole

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A trash collection truck went into an electric pole Tuesday afternoon closing the road for at least an hour according to Dayton Power and Light.

The accident happened on Monument Ave near Rumpke Consolidated Companies, Inc. office in Dayton.

2 News was on the scene and learned that there were no injuries during the accident.

There is no update if there was anyone affected by the possible power outage.

“This is an unfortunate incident. We are working swiftly with the Dayton City Police and Dayton Power & Light to assess the situation and clear the roadway,” said Rich Welker, Rumpke Recycling Manager. “We can’t thank Dayton emergency services and Dayton Power & Light enough for their prompt response.”
