Customers’ vehicles damaged after car shop break-in

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are searching for the people who reportedly broke into a car shop.

Officers were called to Auto Connection at 1347 east Third Street before 7 a.m. Saturday after an alarm sounded.

Police discovered someone cut a hole in the fence, kicked in the door, and then ransacked the building.

The suspects reportedly took a tool from the garage, threw a computer, and damaged the DP&L electric meter, which caused power to be cut from the building.

Police said the suspects also damaged and ransacked several cars in the parking lot. Some of the vehicles reportedly belonged to customers who dropped them off for service or repairs.

No arrests have been made.
