Rain causes flooding concerns across the Miami Valley

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) — Several roads across Miami County were hit with high water after another day of rain hit the Miami Valley on Monday.

Dispatchers with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office said an area just north of Troy was getting a lot of complaints.

A signed along Troy-Sidney Road warned drivers of the high water streaming across the asphalt.

In Shelby County, city officials in Sidney have activated the Flood Action Plan after the Great Miami River reached 10.5 feet.

A representative said if the river rose another foot, the city would see minor damage in the areas around Custenborder Field.
