BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – Soin Medical Center welcomed the Miami Valley’s first baby of 2016 early Friday morning.

Josiah Emmanuel Fraley was born 40 seconds after midnight. His parents, Krystle Davis and Joshua Fraley of Dayton, were getting ready to watch New Year’s Eve festivities with their 13-month-old son when Davis’ water broke.

“Perfect timing for each contraction, then push, and here he came at 12,” Davis said. “He decided to come on out when the ball dropped.”

Josiah is the couple’s second child.

“I just want to teach him to be respectful and upstanding and treat people the way he would want to be treated and just to be good people,” Joshua Fraley said.

Davis said she hopes the small age difference allows her sons to become best friends.

“He’s a great baby. He’s very quiet and well-tempered,” Davis said. “Just hope he can do anything he puts his mind to, him and his brother both, just be a safe little healthy, happy guy.”
