Police look for armed duo in Dayton home invasion

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are looking for two armed men who broke into a Dayton home and stole electronics.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of Harvard Boulevard after 12 a.m. Saturday.

The 74-year-old homeowner said he, his wife, and grandchildren were at home sleeping when they heard someone coming through a bathroom window. He said two men, armed with shotguns, went into the bedrooms and ordered everyone to sit on the couch in the living room. He said the suspects then went through the house, taking several items.

The homeowner told police at the time, an 18-year-old family member came home. When the family heard her coming through the front door, the family yelled and told the suspects not to shoot.

The teen told police when she heard her family yell, she ran to a neighbor’s yard. She said she then saw the suspects run out the front door towards Tennyson Avenue.

The suspects got away with a backpack, Playstation 3, Dell laptop, and a Samsung Galaxy Prime cell phone.
