DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman was arrested after she was reportedly accused of beating a man with a baseball bat.
Officers were called to the 200 block of East Fairview Avenue after 2 a.m. Friday.
Jodie Davidson, 26, was arrested on charges of felonious assault.
Davidson told police she was sitting in her room about to go to bed, when the victim came into the home. She said the victim hit her multiple times in the face and then started choking her. Police said she had a busted lip.
A woman on scene told officers Davidson attacked the victim unprovoked. She said as soon as the victim walked into the home, Davidson hit him with a baseball bat. She said the victim defended himself and she attempted to break up the fight.
The 47-year-old victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
When officers interviewed the victim, he told the same story as the woman on scene who witnessed the scuffle. He admitted to officers he put Davidson in a choke-hold in order to restrain her and keep her from hitting him with the bat.
Davidson was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
