Police called to Dayton apartment after man shot

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are searching for clues after a man was shot in his side at the Desoto Bass apartment complex.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Robeson Place after 6 p.m. Saturday.

Officers say the 24-year-old victim was shot at the intersection of Robeson Place and Attucks Place and then ran inside an apartment.

Police said they found the victim on the floor bleeding heavily. The victim told officers he had walked outside of the apartment when a person inside a vehicle driving on Carver Place shot him. According to officials, the victim was not forthcoming with information about what happened.

The victim was taken into surgery at Miami Valley Hospital with what officials said were non-life-threatening injuries.
