Woman arrested for drugs behind DJ’s Furniture

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman was arrested on drug charges after police said they saw her behind a Dayton furniture store with a crack pipe.

Officers were on patrol on North Main Street before 4 p.m. Saturday when they said they spotted two women walking behind DJ’s Furniture and hiding behind the dumpster.

Officials said the area is a high drug and prostitution area.

Police said when they pulled up, one woman came out from hiding, but the other stayed behind the dumpster.

According to officials, the one behind the dumpster had a crack pipe.

Heather Grooms, 25, was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia. Police said she admitted the pipe was hers. She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
