Car destroyed by fire in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police and firefighters are investigating an early morning car fire.

It happened just after 2:30 in the 4800 block of Springfield Street Wednesday morning.

Authorities say a woman had returned from a trip to Circleville Tuesday evening.

The woman who owned the car was told about the fire roughly four hours later by a neighbor.

No one was hurt but the car is a total loss.

The fire is being called suspicious. The fire is still under investigation.
