SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Hundreds of people are expected to make their way to the former Thirty-One Gifts facility in Springfield for a job fair Wednesday.
30 Clark County companies will be in attendance looking to hire help.
The job fair runs from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Organizers say resume assistance will be available for anyone who needs it. Company officials at Thirty-One Gifts offered their facility for the event due in large part to the fact that many of their employees are still looking for work after the plant closed down.
This job fair is welcome news in Clark County as layoffs and shutdowns have happened at companies like National Oilwell, Varco, and Target.
Hiring companies include Staffmark, Hometown IGA, Speedway, McGregor Metalworking, and the Springfield City School District.
It’s the first job fair that Ohio Means Jobs Clark County has done in January which is just another indication of the need for people to be employed in the area.
