Crews search through wreckage in deadly Kettering house fire

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Fire crews searched through debris after one person was killed in a fire in Kettering.

It happened in a home in the 2300 block of East Dorothy Lane Wednesday night.

Officials said the victim was found in what they believed was a bedroom.

The coroner has been called to the scene.

Firefighters haven’t said how the fire started, but they’re looking at the back of the home. The cause remains under investigation.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
