CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for stealing 17 handguns from a federally licensed Fairborn firearms store.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is working with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the National Shooting Sports Foundation. They each are offering a reward of $5,000, for a total possible reward of $15,000.
The theft happened Thursday around 3:45 a.m. at Fox Shooting Loft. According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office an individual wearing a mask drove a stolen vehicle through the front of the store at 8300 Dayton-Springfield Road. The person took 17 handguns. A Sheriff’s Office release said the stolen vehicle was found abandoned a short distance away.
The incident was captured on surveillance and all the agencies involved are investigating.
