Webster Street bridge closes Monday

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Webster Street Bridge in downtown Dayton will close Monday so replacement of the bridge can begin.

It will remain closed until November of 2017.

WDTN.com first told you about the approval for this project in December.

The new bridge will include wider sidewalks, better lighting, and observation plazas.

A posted detour will direct you to use Monument Avenue and Keowee Street as alternative routes during construction.

The $10 million project will be built by the Eagle Bridge Company and will be funded by the Federal Surface Transportation Program and Ohio Public Works Commission money.
