Woman who died in Kettering fire identified

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – The woman who died in a house fire on Dorothy Lane in Kettering Wednesday night has been identified.

The Montgomery County Coroner told 2 NEWS the victim is 68-year-old Miriam L. Jones.

A neighbor told 2 NEWS she was, “a very nice lady. Very friendly lady.”

Fire crews spent hours battling the fire Wednesday night in the 2300 block of Dorothy Lane.

Jones was found in the bedroom area of the home.

Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
