Dawan Lewis, 26, was arrested on assault charges.

Multiple crews were called to Ned Peppers at 419 East Fifth Street after 1 a.m. Saturday on reports of a disturbance.

Police said staff at New Peppers walked Lewis out of the bar because he had been causing a disturbance inside. While in front of the bar, Lewis reportedly got in an employee’s face and began yelling him. Officials said the employee pushed Lewis out of the way and tried to convince him to leave and Lewis punched him.

Police said Lewis was uncooperative. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
