DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are investigating after someone tried to break in to a Dayton drive-thru.

Officers were dispatched to the C & D Cruise Thru & Mini Mart located at 101 Springfield Street around 4:45 a.m. Friday after an alarm sounded.

Officials said the door was pried, the metal frame was damaged, and the paint was chipped. A metal plate that was covering the lock had been broken. They said the garage door was also damaged.

Police searched the inside of the business and said they don’t believe anyone was able to get inside.

Officers received this call just shortly after they were responding to a break-in at another Dayton liquor store just a few blocks away.

It’s unclear if these two incidents are related. Officers are still investigating.
