Huber Heights charity expanding its reach to more people in need

NEW LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) — A local charity is expanding its reach to help people in the community.

Cody’s Caring Clothing Charity held a give away in New Lebanon Saturday.

More than 500 people picked up bags filled with clothes, toys, and equipment.

This is the first time an event was held in New Lebanon and organizers say they want to keep growing.

“I love to be expanded out. I really want to be up north, south, east, and west — anywhere that someone can utilize their space for a day,” said founder Maggie Hydler.

Donations collected Saturday were from Plato’s Closet and Once Upon a Child.
