UNION CITY, Ohio (WDTN) — Two people were arrested at a mobile home in Union City.
Police responded to the 800 block of East Central Street to serve a felony warrant for Peter Cheadle. Police said when they knocked on the door, he and a woman inside refused to answer.
Officers said after about four hours and several commands, Cheadle came outside and was taken into custody.
Cheadle had an active warrant out of the Darke County Common Pleas Court for Felony Domestic Violence, stemming from an incident that occurred at the same location on December 13, 2015.
Jonnie Edwards, was also arrested. Police said Edwards admitted to knowing that Cheadle had an active warrant and admitted to housing Cheadle in her trailer so that he would not be arrested.
Edwards was booked on the charge of obstructing justice. Cheadle was booked on a grand jury indictment for felony domestic violence. Cheadle and Edwards are both being held in the Darke County Jail without bond.
