DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A “World House Party” in Dayton honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., while also inspiring young people to create positive change and build community.
The event celebrated Dr. King’s achievements with music, dance, and food.
It was the third year for the party presented by the Dayton Human Relations Council in partnership with the YWCA of Greater Dayton. It was held at the YWCA located at 141 West Third Street Saturday afternoon. Admission was free.
Presenters explored contemporary issues regarding race, social justice, and diversity.
People who came to the event were also able to create banners to be used during the Dayton MLK Memorial March, which will take place Monday, January 18.
