Dayton Sunoco robbed at gunpoint by man in face mask

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are searching for an armed man who reportedly held up a gas station.

It happened at the Sunoco located at 1502 Wayne Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

According to a clerk, a man wearing a black face mask and light-colored work gloves walked into the store, showed a gun, and demanded money. He grabbed the money from the register and then ran out of the store across the parking lot.

The suspect got away with about $125 in cash.

A K9 was called, and a trail led to a vacant home. Police didn’t locate the suspect, but they found some clothes the suspect ditched after the crime.

Officers are reviewing surveillance video.
