Fight at Hospice lands one behind bars

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A fight at Hospice landed one man behind bars.

Police responded to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Avenue after 2 p.m. Friday for a disturbance involving about a dozen people.

According to officials, a fight broke out between two different families to see a patient. A victim told police she was trying to break up the fight and was hit in the face by the suspect. The suspect also allegedly made threats to at least one other person trying to break up the fight.

The suspect was taken into custody, but police said he was being uncooperative, refused to answer questions, and wouldn’t identify himself.

Officers were able to identify him as Michael Banks, 34.

Banks faces charges of assault, obstructing official business, and refusing to disclose information. He’s expected in court Monday.
