DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Three people were arrested after a drug raid in Dayton, and only 2 News cameras were rolling.
It happened Thursday morning at 730 Wyoming Street.
Police said when there was a lot of traffic coming to and from a home, neighbors became suspicious. Only 2 News cameras were there when police seized crack cocaine from the house, which officers said confirms drugs were being sold there. Officials said the home is also tied to prostitution, something police say goes hand in hand with drug trafficking.
“A large majority of these prostitutes are addicted to drugs whether through voluntarily or through coercion, and there’s definitely a correlation between active drug houses and prostitution within the area surrounding that drug house,” said Dayton Police.
Gregory Melvin was arrested on drug possession charges. Two women were also arrested.
