Birmingham, Ala.-area pummeled by severe storms

Southern-area radar just before 8 p.m. Tuesday.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT and WDTN) – WDTN’s partner station in Birmingham, Alabama is under several severe weather warnings Tuesday night as the area sees tornado warnings near Central Alabama.

The main line of storms will move into West Alabama around 7-8 p.m. Tuesday evening and will move out by 9-10 p.m.

Folks along the I-65 corridor will see the line move through from 9-midnight. East Alabama will see the line move through from midnight to 5 am. This squall line could produce damaging winds with the possibility for an embedded t-storm to produce an isolated tornado.
