SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol posted on their Facebook page Tuesday about a traffic stop about a week ago.
The Facebook post says they stopped a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo on I-75 in Shelby County on January 26 for following too closely.
According to the post, Troopers became suspicious after stopping the car for what they call “criminal indicators” and called in a drug-sniffing dog. The dog indicated drugs were in the vehicle and when the car was searched Troopers found 1,181 Oxycodone pills in the trunk.
OSHP says these pills are worth $28,344.
41-year-old John Blevins of Grayson, Kentucky and 25-year-old Travis Pinson of Detroit were both arrested. Both men were taken to the Shelby County Jail.
