Father and son arrested in Preble County for drug-related charges

EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – A father and son are arrested after investigators believe they’re involved in illicit drug activity.

Deputies issued a search warrant at a property in the 12000 block of state Route 744, near the Preble/Butler County lines, Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson said.

Investigators reportedly believed that illicit drug activity was going on at that location. When they arrived at the property, the relatives were arrested on the scene.

The two lived here, Simpson said.

James D. Bear and James R. Bear were arrested for drug-related charges. Both reportedly have prior drug convictions.

They are currently being held in the Preble County Jail.
