Dayton church broken into, items stolen

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are searching for suspects after someone broke into a Dayton church.

Officers were called to The Way of the Cross Gospel Ministries located at 4801 Hoover Avenue Saturday before 10 a.m.

The pastor said the side door of the church was open and there were footprints and wheel marks on the side of the church. The pastor said there was a wheel chair in the side room of the church and he believes the chair was used to transport the stolen goods.

According to the report, someone stole a snow blower and a flat screen TV. It’s unclear if anything else was taken.

Police checked a vacant house nearby but they were unable to locate a suspect or the stolen property.
