Patron destroys display case in Dayton bar

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are looking for a woman who reportedly broke a display case in a bar and tried to attack a patron.

Police were called to Angie’s Tavern located at 703 Watervliet Avenue after 12 a.m. Sunday.

The bartender told police there was a fight near the restrooms and a woman picked up a metal sign and smashed a glass display case at the front of the bar. He said the woman then approached another patron and tried to attack her.

Police spoke with the victim. She told officers the suspect pounded on the bathroom door while she was in there and grabbed her by the throat. The victim said after the suspect broke the display case, the suspect approached her again and attempted to hit her.

Officials spoke with other patrons and witnesses in the bar.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
