DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – There’s a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for areas north of Dayton until 4 p.m.
Snow will continue on and off throughout the afternoon. Winds will be gusty out of the west and could create reduced visibility at times today.
“Many locations have picked up about an inch of snow this morning but some of the snow has begun to melt,” says Meteorologist Tara Hastings, “Road temperatures are fairly warm so much of the snow has melted on area roadways.”
Wind chill values will be in the 20’s through much of the day with gusty westerly winds. The snow showers come to an end tonight but there could be other issues.
“Temperatures will fall below freezing this evening so watch out for a refreeze later tonight,” says Hastings.
The weekend looks dry and much warmer.
