DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – After a beautiful Saturday it gets even warmer for Sunday. Temperatures will climb into the lower 60’s during the afternoon but the winds could cause problems.
A Wind Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday for Mercer, Auglaize, Logan, Darke, Shelby, Miami, Champaign and Clark counties.
“Much of the day winds will be between 10 and 25 m.p.h but we may see gusts near 40 and even 50 m.p.h.” says Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Tara Hastings, “Areas north of Dayton have the best chance of seeing gusts close to 50 m.p.h.”
Much of the day will be sunny and warmer but it’s the winds that could create some issues.
“It’s a good idea to secure loose lawn furniture or put the garbage cans in the garage,” says Hastings, “Otherwise you may have a hard time trying to track it down.”
A cold front moves through late Sunday night bringing a chance for some light rain.
