Man attacked, car stolen after leaving bar

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a man said his car was stolen and he was attacked after leaving a bar in the Oregon District.

Police were on patrol in the area of East Fourth Street and South Jersey Street Friday before 2 a.m. when they noticed a man bloody and stumbling.

The man told police he was at Ned Peppers drinking with his family when he left by himself. He said as he was getting into his car in the parking lot, he was approached by three men. He told police they pulled him from his car and started attacking him before getting into his vehicle and speeding away.

The suspected stolen vehicle is a 2001 red Chevrolet Tahoe.

The man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police are still investigating.
