DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Grand Jury in Montgomery County filed an indictment of Daniel Schooler in the shooting death of his brother, Pastor William Schooler, on February 28.
According to court documents obtained by 2 NEWS Wednesday, the Grand Jury indicted Schooler on seven counts including two counts of murder. also added a firearms specification to the charge.
The Grand Jury went on to specify that if Daniel Schooler is convicted or if he pleads guilty to the charges he will be designated as a repeat violent offender due to a previous conviction in 2001 of felonious assault.
The complete list of charges that Schooler was indicted for include one count of Aggravated Murder, two counts of Murder, two counts of Felonious Assult and two counts of Felonius Assault.
Schooler pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder and murder last week. 68-year-old Daniel Schooler is accused of shooting his brother in the back of St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church during Sunday services on February 28.
Daniel Schooler’s next court date is March 15.
