Driver rushed to hospital after slamming into tree

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) — A man is rushed to the hospital after crashing his car into a tree.

The crash happened after 1 a.m. Sunday on Chambersburg Road, west of State Route 4.

Police said a 49-year-old driver from Fairborn veered off the right side of the road and slammed into a tree. When officials arrived on scene, they said the driver was outside of the car unconscious and seriously injured. Huber Heights paramedics transported him to the hospital.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash at this time.

The Huber Heights Police crash reconstruction team is continuing to investigate the accident.
