Medical condition may have caused crash into tree

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police believe a medical condition may have caused a crash on Salem Avenue.

The accident happened in the 2900 block of Salem Avenue after 7 a.m. Sunday.

An SUV veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The crash took off some of the bark on the tree and crushed the front of the SUV. Debris was scattered all over the roadway.

Police and medics responded to the scene for an entrapment. Police said they believe the driver may have had some sort of medical condition, which caused him to lose control and crash.

He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. No word on his condition.
