INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The wife of fallen Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz shared a touching photo of the couple’s son Tuesday.

Koontz was shot and killed while serving a warrant in Russiaville early Sunday morning.

His wife, Kassandra Koontz, posted a photo of their young son, Noah, with the following caption: “Maybe to lighten the mood a little man with his handsome little man! He is wearing his daddy’s badge with pride!”

Sgt. Jordan Buckley was also shot while serving the warrant. Buckley was released from the hospital Monday and spoke about Koontz Tuesday.

Police say the suspect killed himself after shooting Koontz and Buckley.

Koontz’ funeral arrangements were announced Tuesday.
