UD’s campus held a “Prayer for Healing” gathering at the Immaculate Conception Chapel Tuesday evening, sending well wishes to the student.

The sophomore was “seriously injured in a fall from the balcony of a house on Lowes Street on Thursday and remains in Miami Valley Hospital,” according to the university.

“We are most grateful to the campus community for their support, the doctors, nurses and other members of the Miami Valley Hospital team for their skill and care, and the many family friends who have been there with us every step of the way,” said a family representative, according to the university.

“Sasha is overwhelmed with gratitude by the positive messages and prayers she has received, and she’s looking forward to being released from the hospital soon.”
