DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a man was carjacked at gunpoint.

Officers were called to the 300 block of Sheridan Avenue after 12 a.m. Saturday.

The victim said he was visiting a friend and his car was parked on the street. He said when he went outside to get his sweatshirt from his car, he noticed the driver’s side door was partially open. He said a man was sitting in his car and then kicked the door open. The victim said the suspect then pointed a gun at him and demanded his car keys. The suspect then fled the scene in his car.

The stolen car is a 1989 gray Buick LeSabre with Ohio license plate GLF4573. It is missing all four hubcaps, the paint on the hood is faded, and it has a loud exhaust.
