Police search for theft suspects in Centerville

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Centerville Police Department is asking for your help finding a group of theft suspects.

Police say on March 5, around 8:30 in the evening, a woman’s purse was stolen from her unlocked car in the parking lot of Bill’s Donut’s in Centerville. The victim’s credit card used approximately two hours later that same day at a Shell gas station on S. Main Street.

Two men were caught on surveillance cameras at the popular donut shop. They were later seen on video at the Shell station with a woman who tried to use one of the victim’s credit cards.

The suspect who police say stole the purse is described as a black man in his late teens the to early twenties. He is approximately six feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, tan pants and red shoes.

A second suspect acted as a lookout in the theft. Police say he is described as a tall, thin black male in his early twenties. At the time, he was wearing all black with a black and white Bulls hat and black and white shoes.

The woman who tried to use the credit card is described as a light-skinned black female, early to mid-twenties, wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and white shoes.

Police say they are believed to have been driving a red or dark orange colored sedan.
