TROY, Ohio (WDTN)  – Firefighters from the Troy Fire Department responded to the report of a fire at the Idle Hour Ranch on Sunday.

Units were called in just before 9 p.m. Sunday at 4880 West Fenner Road flames were visible from the vicinity of Greenlee Road, according to our partners at the Troy Daily News.

After further investigation, the source of the blaze originated from a livestock trailer. Deputies from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office were called in to assist with “irate” persons at the scene, according to the Troy Daily News.

Investigators believe the fire was caused by a heat lamp that fell over inside the trailer, igniting bedding. The lamp reportedly was used to keep ducks warm, according to the Troy Daily News. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
