Woman reports assault in front of Oregon District bar

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman called police after she said she was assaulted in front of a Dayton bar.

She said it happened in front of Ned Peppers bar at 419 East Fifth Street after 2 a.m. Saturday.

The victim told police she and her friend were walking in the Oregon District when a man approached them and asked her friend a question. She said the man then struck her in the face without cause and ran from the area.

Medics responded and treated the victim for an injury to her nose and lip. Officials said her injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
