DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  The Dayton Police Department East Patrol Operations Division is looking for volunteers to help clean up graffiti Friday.

Officers will be working at the former Hookah Star in the 1200 block of Wayne Avenue starting at 9 a.m. The building has been vacant since the business closed in August.

Police say that business and others nearby have become targets of graffiti.

Organizers say local businesses have already agreed to provide refreshments. Ghostlight Coffee will provide coffee and Pizza Factory will bring lunch once cleanup is complete.

If you are interested in helping out you are asked to call 333-7440 so organizers have an idea how many people will be on hand.
